Adjust gutter slope.
Pull down on the end of the gutter to create the proper pitch toward the downspout.

If your gutters don t slope then you only need to adjust the hangers and lower them slightly where necessary to achieve the correct slope.

To correct this yourself you ll need to measure from the peak to the downspout.
Get on a ladder after a rainstorm and look in the gutter.
If it is improperly pitched you will need to adjust the gutter slope.
The gutter should have a quarter inch of slope per 10 feet.
Look for a 7 8 in 18 20 cm gutter spike or screw that has at least 2 inches 5 1 cm of threading on the end.
Multiply the number of feet by 1 16 inch to determine the total slope the gutter requires.
Unscrew and discard the old gutter brackets.
You can unscrew them or use a pry bar to remove the fastener holding the hanger in place lower it the correct amount and refasten.
Align the end of the threaded spike with the hole in the front of your gutter and push the end through by about 1 2 inch 1 3 cm.
